Terms of Use

Loupe: Photos on Your Wrist · Last updated: 8 October 2026

These terms are between you and Superluminal LLC (“we”, “us”) about the Loupe app for iPhone and Apple Watch. By downloading or using Loupe you agree to them.

Apple’s standard terms

Loupe is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. It applies to your use of Loupe. If these terms and Apple’s agreement disagree, Apple’s agreement wins. Apple is not responsible for Loupe, for its support or maintenance, or for claims about it. Those are ours.

License

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Loupe on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store rules allow. Loupe and everything in it belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, sell, rent or sublicense it, or take it apart to get its source code, except where the law lets you do so anyway.

Your photos

Your photos and videos are yours. Loupe only copies them between your own devices and your own iCloud so you can look at them on your Apple Watch, and we never receive them. You are responsible for having the right to the photos you use with Loupe, and for keeping your own backups. Loupe works with copies and does not replace your library in Photos.

Loupe Premium

Loupe is free to download. Loupe Premium is a one-time in-app purchase, $4.99 in the United States (or your local price), with no subscription. Apple handles the payment, taxes and refunds under the App Store terms, so we cannot refund a purchase ourselves; ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. To get Premium back on a new device, use Restore Purchases in Loupe’s Settings with the same Apple Account.

Using Loupe

Use Loupe lawfully and only for yourself. Do not use it to break the law, to harm others, or to interfere with Loupe, Apple’s services or anyone’s devices.

No warranty

Loupe is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Syncing depends on iOS, watchOS, iCloud and your network, which we do not control, so we cannot promise that Loupe will be uninterrupted, error-free or fast. If Loupe fails to meet a warranty that the law does not let us disclaim, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Superluminal LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, photos or profits, arising from your use of Loupe. Our total liability for any claim about Loupe is limited to the amount you paid us for Loupe, which is the price of Loupe Premium if you bought it. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what Loupe does with data. In short, we collect nothing.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms and the app. The new terms will be posted here with a new date, and using Loupe after that means you accept them. You can stop at any time by deleting Loupe. We may end your license if you break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
